Anacon is an Oslo-based consultancy specializing in design and construction of railway signalling, interlocking and ATC. Since 2013, a development effort has been ongoing to build computer software tools to aid the design process and increase quality. The tools will integrate different aspects of railway design, such as capacity analysis, simulations, civil engineering/construction, etc.
Anacon is currently seeking candidates to perform a PhD project in cooperation with University of Oslo, Department of Informatics. Applicants should be competent in engineering, programming and systems development. The following subjects are available:
· Automated Railway Design Checking and Optimization – automated high-level analysis of track / constructions / signalling / catenary.
· Natural language rule and expert knowledge formulation for railway design.
We seek a highly motivated individual holding a M.Sc. with a minimum of a B average for courses at the Master's level and for the Master's thesis.
