Thomson Reuters Point Carbon is looking for a summer intern to our natural gas market analysis department at Akersgt. 55, Oslo. The department delivers market data and provides forecast of supply, demand and price on the UK and Continental European gas markets to our customers. The analyses are based on thorough monitoring of market data, market developments and modeling as well as on assessments based on deep industry knowledge.

Our analytics is delivered on a web based platform and forecasts are updated throughout the day. The majority of companies trading in the UK and European Continental gas markets are subscribing.

The objective for the summer intern will be to help analysts develop our new Global LNG service and support analysts in further improving our European Natural Gas Analytic services. Tasks will include gathering data and information about these markets, build new content on our services and improve design of the web pages. If you in addition to some competence in statistics also have some knowledge of Matlab you could do some modeling.

Requirements: Bachelor in economics, maths, statistics or similar, experience in use of Excel.

Desired: Some programming experience; knowledge of Matlab would be valued

Working time: 37,5 hours per week. Start date: early June. Duration: 3 months.
