Litt om CMR: CMR conducts high-quality technology research in many areas. At present we need to expand our competency within our core areas of activity. The company's goal is to grow, to achieve a greater scope and a more solid foundation for our activities. Such development must build on closer ties to other R&D environments locally, nationally and internationally.

The development of Norway as a knowledge nation will require a significant commitment to research in the years to come. CMR has a role to play, and will be an important partner and contributor to the primary industries of western Norway, and key national needs within energy/petroleum, marine/maritime and climate/environment. The company will further contribute to an increased level of interaction in the region by laying the groundwork for research clusters.

The national research infrastructure must be reinvented if Norway is to participate in the global community as a knowledge nation. This will require a national commitment. CMR and UiB want to erect a new joint technology building in Bergen, linking the university and institute sector together in a better way than at present.

CMR's research has provided a basis for its contributions to establishing new industrial activities. This is a tradition CMR wishes to continue. CMR therefore welcomes national and regional efforts, and instruments that support such development.
