Data Scientist – Nordic Trainee Program 2019

Are you a graduate in maths and statistics, have programming skills, and would like to become a data scientist?

Nagarro’s Nordic Data Scientist Trainee Program starts in august 2019 and is a one-year program where you’ll learn and develop all the skills needed to become a highly competent data scientist. With trainers and cases from all over the world, and practical training through real commercial projects you will get the necessary challenges. You will learn how to understand what an organization really needs, to choose the right and best practice techniques, and how to think breakthroughs for the organization.

At the end of the program you will join a position in our global data science team where you will be working on interesting and cutting edge AI, ML and Data Science projects in the Nordics, and globally if you wish. This program will give you a career boost!

About the trainee program

As a trainee in this program you will become a member of trainees from Norway, Sweden and Denmark. During the one-year program you will cover different topics regarding consulting skills, project management, data engineering, data visualization and data science (theory and practice). The form of learning is through:

  • Classroom trainings
  • Group work
  • Self study/practice
  • Internal projects locally and globally
  • Commercial projects
  • Workshops

The knowledge areas covered in the trainee program and the skills you will develop are important in the role as a data scientist, consultant, project lead or an architect. Through this program you will learn how to create/explore cases in a structured manner with emphasis on further development and reusability.

Who are we looking for

  • Master’s degree in maths and statistics, or similar
  • Interested in programming
  • You must be fluent in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish
  • Newly graduated or maximum 1-2 years of working experience
  • has the drive to create something and find ways to solve challenges

Practical information

  • Start: 26th of August 2019
  • Competitive salary
  • Working place: Either Oslo, Stockholm or Copenhagen, but some travel within the Nordic countries is required. Please state your preferred office in the application.
  • The cover letter (which describes why you are one of the trainees that we are looking for and what your average grade is) must be written in either Norwegian, Swedish or Danish. Your CV must be in either English, Norwegian, Swedish or Danish, and your transcripts can be in either English, Norwegian, Swedish or Danish.
