As a data engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Process datasets to predict seafood supply, demand and pricing globally.
- Develop models appropriate for the problem at hand using machine learning, statistical methods, optimisation methods and other techniques where this applies.
- Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality in our data.
- Use large data sets to address business issues.
- Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods.
- Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modelling.
- Automate model processing and manual procedures continuously.
- Find hidden patterns using data.
Profile & requirements
- Higher education within a relevant field of study (master’s degree or doctor’s degree). Relevant experience may compensate for missing formal degree.
- Able to contribute and cooperate with a multidiscipline and multinational team.
- A significant set of technical skills, including a deep knowledge of SQL database design and multiple programming languages.
