The position

By joining our team you will have the opportunity to:


Work with the following exciting tasks:
 

  • Daily production and energy optimization, well monitoring, performance and operational planning.

  • Well maturation, planning and interventions.

  • Maturation of field development, early phase and modifications projects.

  • Increased oil and gas recovery projects.

  • Carbon capture and storage projects.

  • Technology development and implementation including digital solutions within production technology.

  • Contribution to improvement initiatives to increase production and cost efficiency.

  • Pressure transient analysis.

Equinor has a solid position on the Norwegian continental shelf, and a strong position in selected core areas worldwide. We have fields of all sizes, from giants such as Johan Sverdrup, Troll and Peregrino, to small fast-track projects tied to existing infrastructure.   • Master or PhD in relevant Technical Discipline.  Candidates with a Bachelor degree and relevant experience will be considered.

  • Experience and skills within production and reservoir technology and related disciplines like drilling & well, flow assurance, process technology, mathematics, physics, chemistry/chemical engineering, cybernetics or data science.

  • Experience from operations, field development, technology qualification and implementation.

  • Experience from energy companies is desirable.

  • Relevant software competence, programming capabilities, innovative mindset, eagerness to learn and develop.

  • Experience within statistics, data analytics and machine learning.

  • Pressure transient analysis, integrated asset modeling, sand management and well chemistry competence.

  • Ability to show openness and transparency in interaction with others, and value diverse perspectives and ability to adapt the communication style to suit the context.

  • Ability to take ownership of own delivery and performance and work well as part of the team, sharing ideas, workload and learnings.

  • Project and technical leadership competence.

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English. Good knowledge or willingness to learn Norwegian is an advantage. Willingness to live and work in Norway.

Successful candidates will be hired in positions according to experience level.
