About the role:
As a Summer Student Lidar Operator, you will support the daily operation of advanced lidar systems used to study the Arctic atmosphere. The position runs from June to August (minimum 1 month availability required) and includes shift work.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate lidar systems at the ALOMAR Observatory
• Assist visiting researchers and project teams
• Support daily operational and technical activities

Qualifications:

• Studying (or recently completed) physics, atmospheric science, engineering, or similar
• Interest in experimental work and atmospheric research
• Able to work independently and in a structured environment
• Willing to work shifts and weekends
• Valid driver’s license (Class B, manual transmission)
• Good English skills (Norwegian is a plus)
