Are you looking for a summer job within the shipping industry? Join Wilhelmsen for a six-week summer internship where you will work on an interdisciplinary project and tackle real-world challenges within the maritime industry.
As a summer intern, you will work in a team to analyse data, develop strategies and present your findings to key stakeholders. Previous summer projects have included cost-benefit analyses and case studies for autonomous shipping, mapping synergies between ventures and core business units, and developing a roadmap for decarbonising Wilhelmsen's global supply chain.
Founded in Norway in 1861, Wilhelmsen is a global maritime group providing products and services to the merchant fleet, as well as crew and technical management. With one of the world's largest maritime networks, Wilhelmsen operates globally and is actively developing new opportunities within areas such as renewables, zero-emission shipping and marine digitalisation.
Wilhelmsen is looking for analytical and creative students who enjoy teamwork and collaborating with others. Students from a range of disciplines are encouraged to apply, including:
Engineering
Data science
Economics
Business
An interest in shipping, sustainability and business development is an advantage. Students expected to graduate in 2028 will be prioritised.
The internship lasts for six weeks and takes place during:
Weeks 24–26
Three weeks of vacation
Weeks 30–32
The workplace is Wilhelmsen's head office at Lysaker, Oslo.
Applicants must have a valid work permit in Norway for the duration of the internship.
